Educational diagnosticians are trained to conduct these evaluations using standardized tests, observational data, and school-based information. While they do not diagnose medical or mental health conditions, they are skilled at recognizing when learning concerns may be influenced by broader developmental or behavioral factors and can guide families toward additional evaluations when appropriate.
